A LIFE SAVER

NALOXONE

naloxone

Naloxone is a safe medication that quickly reverses opioid overdoses, including those from fentanyl. It’s essential to have it at parties and gatherings, and everyone should know where it’s kept.

NALOXONE

GOOD TO KNOW

The most common and easy-to-use form of naloxone is the nasal spray (brands like Narcan).

Naloxone can be purchased at pharmacies in Colorado or online without a prescription, and it’s now available over-the-counter in stores.

It remains effective and safe even past its expiration date. Always keep expired naloxone for emergencies.

It will not hurt or harm someone who is not overdosing. It's always better safe than sorry to use naloxone.

WHERE TO

GET NALOXONE

Naloxone can be purchased online, over the counter, or at most pharmacies and drug stores. You do not need a prescription to purchase naloxone, which costs between $30 and $45. NARCAN® naloxone nasal spray can be found over the counter in stores like Walgreens and CVS. Generic naloxone HCl contains the same active ingredients as NARCAN® at a lower price and is available through online retailers such as Amazon.

THE DESIGNATED (AND BELOVED)

SOBER FRIEND

A designated sober friend is like a designated driver and is just as important. If your night could include drugs, have a designated sober friend ready to use naloxone if fentanyl crashes the party. Take turns each time you go out. Stay safe and don’t let this be your last night out.
