THE PARTY CRASHER
FENTANYL
Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid. It’s used safely by doctors to manage pain. You cannot overdose by touching or being in the presence of fentanyl. But it’s dangerous when taken without a doctor’s help.
Drugs can be mixed with fentanyl intentionally or unknowingly, whether from dealers, or shared by friends, or acquaintances.

THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW
USE TEST STRIPS TO TEST YOUR DRUGS

You can check your drugs to see if fentanyl is present with fentanyl test strips. When used properly, test strips are reliable and an important step to take. Test strips can be found online and via syringe access programs.
Obtain a test strip.
Dissolve a small sample in water.
Place wavy end of the test strip in the water for 15 seconds.
Lay the test strip flat for 2-5 minutes then read the results:
One Line:
CONTAINS FENTANYL, Do Not Use

Two Lines:
No Fentanyl Detected, Use with Caution

No lines:
Defective Test, Test Again
But test strips aren’t always 100% accurate. Even when drugs test negative, remain highly cautious and prepared to use naloxone in case the test is a false negative.
